Welcome to "off the beaten path photography" by Sarah Beaugez. I hope you enjoy the color and composition of each photograph in all of the galleries on this site. I've had the privilege of traveling the world, but there is no more beautiful or diverse place than Mississippi, especially the Delta and the Coast. Please sign the guestbook and let me know you have viewed a little of my world when you visit this site. If you like what you see, there are multiple options for purchases.

... and I hope that you will take your own journey "off the beaten path..."

With taproots in Mississippi, I’ve also spent some time in Alabama and Georgia, all in the Southeastern region of the country; each with their own flavor. I’ve also spent quite a few years in Colorado.

But my home State of Mississippi is where I now hang my hat so to speak. Always viewing life as a book, each chapter has its unique story to tell. If I were to choose one word to describe my life, thus far, the word would be “color.” Every chapter has a different lesson and setting, sometimes related to geography; other times just a varying viewpoint. Regardless, the whole of the book is rich.

As I continue the journey, I have learned in the last few years to stop and pay attention to the things I once passed on by; or, allowed to pass me by. It is with great hope and intention that I choose to live life, hoping to capture as much color from each day as possible. God chooses to give me a new sunrise and sunset every day. I’m not always able to capture either with my eye or my lens. Regardless, I must be aware that He chooses to color my world.

Some of the images I have had the opportunity to harness are included in the pages of “off the beaten path.” I do hope that you enjoy viewing as much as I did capturing.

“Too whom much is given much is required.” I hope that I can give as much as I have received when it comes to sharing color.

Thank you for taking to time to stop. Thank you for taking the time to trek “off the beaten path.”

Sarah

Morning Sarah,
Your photos are a gift to begin this day, and I'm thankful! From the gallery, "Churches and Iron," I'm surprised a bit by how much I want to touch those doorknobs! I feel the spirit of all the hands that have & am blessed. And the Cypress's fall colors from your "Swamps and Creeks" gallery is glorious. We have enjoyed them from Delta to Coast; again, a gift.
Before moving from OS recently, I wondered what places I'd most miss. Thank you greatly, for images of East Beach, OS Harbor, that Shearwater street driveway, birds, marsh grass, and, of course sun on the water. Thank you for being faithful to your calling. You honor our Creator beautifully, Sarah!
P.S.---give Jacqui a hug from me

Sarah as always your photos are outstanding ,and they speak to you as if they had a soul! I continue to be amazed at your eye for the camera to shoot. The camera only captures what your eyes see, and you see and capture things most would not know is there! A beautiful talent, don't ever let go!

I'm from Tylertown, MS, now living in Knoxville, TN. My wife and I moved here in 2001, to be close to our daughter who was having our first grandson. Now there are two grandsons. I enjoyed your photos of Mississippi, especially the photos of the swamps. That's something I miss.
I also do a lot of photography. If you'd like to see some, go to http://tiny.cc/rexmc. Lots of photos of TN, and even some of Mississippi...primarily the Tylertown/Walthall County area.
Keep up the good work!
Rex
